Canine Loki of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office successfully tracked down a missing injured woman on Thursday.
A woman who resides in the 38000 block of North Villa Court in unincorporated Lake Villa was reported to have been missing according to a release by the Sheriff’s office. According to the report, the woman attempted to harm herself.
Lake County Sheriff’s Office K9 Loki was called to assist.
Upon arriving at the scene with his handler Deputy Kevin Lowe, they were informed that the woman fled on foot. She was also said to have deep cuts on her arms.
Loki began a search and quickly located the woman hiding behind a garage in the neighborhood. A medical team treated the woman and transported her to an area hospital for evaluation.
