In another instance of Ann Taylor deceiving voters, our team has determined the mailers labeled “Waukegan Residents For Public Safety” are actually coming from Ann Taylor. No such group exists.

Residents were sent a letter in the third week of March purportedly coming from a group named “Waukegan Residents For Public Safety.” Those mailers attacked Keith Turner, citing traffic offenses and his opposition to legislation that would curb gun control bills filed in Springfield and charges stemming from firearms laws.

At that point, it was difficult to determine who was behind the mailers. Turner is opposed by gun control groups, among others. It seemed feasible the letters could have been sent by any one of them, or another campaign.

But now, the “Waukegan Residents For Public Safety” sent a bogus mailer attacking Sam Cunningham. The mailer is rife with disinformation and comes right up to the line of defamation. But this certainly draws a logical conclusion. The Ann Taylor campaign is responsible for these mailers.

Keith Turner nor Sam Cunningham are going to send mailers attacking themselves. It would be completely illogical. Harold Beadling does not have the campaign money to send such mailers. Advocacy groups clearly mark their messaging. That leaves Ann Taylor, who has well paid consultants who create and send her direct mail towards influencing voters,  meaning you..

The Illinois State Board of Election shows no existing committee with the name “Waukegan Residents For Public Safety.” The address used, 458 N Green Bay Rd, corresponds to a mini mall where there is a UPS store which offers mailbox services.

As we reported, Ann’s husband Wayne Taylor was caught up in an effort to mislead voters by sending direct mail through a Waukegan resident and encouraging him to avoid disclosing the source of the funds on the required SBOE disclosure. This appears to be yet another instance of Ann Taylor working to deceive voters.

We continue to be perplexed by her strategy. Taylor has spent tens of thousands of dollars waging bogus attacks against Cunningham, going all of the way back to the primary where she wasn’t even on the ballot. Here in the general, Taylor has sent numerous pieces against Cunningham touching off a mailer war.

But why is Taylor afraid to directly attack Keith Turner?

We do not know. But we do know that Ann Taylor is working hard to deceive voters in this election, just like she did four years ago.
