In the Wildwood section of Grayslake and in the 33000 of Almond Rd, a car went out of control and wound up vertical on a fence.
During the crash, a fire hydrant was sheared completely off of its foundation. An ambulance was present on the scene, but it appeared there were no injuries. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
Almond road is currently blocked and residents are advised to use an alternate route.
