he accused shooter in the July 4th Highland Park mass attack, Robert Crimo III, is said to return to court next week to change his plea.
It is believe that Crimo will change at least part of his not guilty plea to guilty in a hearing to take place on Wednesday.
“The case will be up on June 26 for a possible change of plea. We have been updating and supporting the victims as the situation has been developing,” Lake County State’s Attorney Eric Rinehart said.
According to reports, Crimo confessed shortly after being taken into custody following the shooting from a rooftop and down into the parade and spectators. 7 people died and many others were wounded.
Crimo faces a long list of charges stemming from the shooting.
